Marine Construction Permits

Permit acquisition can be a tricky business that often involves a great deal of research and paperwork. Dales Marine Construction (DMC) will manage the negotiations, meetings, agency correspondence, and inspections that go along with proper permitting. Our goal is to make marine construction projects smooth and efficient for our clients.

Marine Construction permits in Florida are handled on a case by case basis by DMC to make sure each customer has the proper licensing, authorization, and documentation for their specific job. Most cities, including Pensacola, Gulf Breeze, and Navarre require environmental, state, army corps, county, and city permits. The process to obtain permits ranges from 2 months to 12 months depending on the structure being built.

With more than 25 years in the marine construction business, our permit department has a solid working relationship with all the necessary permitting agencies. We also ensure all work is in accordance with the stringent environmental rules and regulations that govern the marine construction industry.

Some of the agencies that often require notification and approval for building are:

  • Army Corps of Engineers
  • Florida Water Management
  • Florida Department of Environmental Protection
  • City of Pensacola
  • City of Gulf Breeze
  • Department of the Interior
  • Florida Department of Parks and Wildlife
  • Escambia County
  • Santa Rosa County
