PROFILE

Bill Franklin joined Dale’s Marine Construction in 2004, and he has been an integral part of the leadership team since that time. Having more than 40 years of management experience, Bill understands the importance of leading by example and exercising a strong work ethic to enhance employee morale and the overall success of a business.

As the general manager, he is directly responsible for operational and financial management. Some of his duties include visiting all project sites to ensure adherence to the strict construction standards expected by not only Dale’s Marine Construction, but also through federal, state, and local regulations.

Furthermore, he researches and reviews emerging technologies in the marine construction field constantly and works to maintain compliance with all environmental programs.

Along with his operational responsibilities, his role as general manager also includes customer service and human resources management. Dale’s Marine prides itself on providing post-project follow-up to ensure that the customer is satisfied with their project; together with our business manager, Dale leads this customer service task. He also works diligently to encourage open communication with all employees.

Man of Many Talents

As a well-rounded company leader, Bill also functions as a project estimator. Since joining DMC, he has successfully bid more than 5,000 projects, ranging in size from $300 to more than $1 million. He also maintains contact with a breadth of manufacturers and suppliers to ensure customers have a wide range of marine products from which to choose, while at the same time keeping the associated project costs within the client’s budgetary constraints.
